TASKS OF THE PRODUCTION SYSTEM
The production system ensures competent work planning, development and compliance with technology, and prompt execution of production tasks. and monitoring of results, as well as improving the way work is done.
Thus, we can distinguish 4 main functions of the production system:
- Deploying the strategy into local goals;
- Standardization of processes and work environment;
- Daily management procedures;
- Continuous improvement.
In lean manufacturing, operational management is subject to 5 principles:
- Understand the value you create for the client with your work;
- Think of customer value creation as a flow of processes and information;
- Make the flow continuous and strictly follow this principle;
- Use a pulling production method;
- Improve the way you work and all the core functions of operational management.
These general principles are universal and unchanging, and they determine compliance with the requirements of effective Lean management.
A good production system manages the flow of value creation for customers, ensuring the achievement of strategic goals, flexibility and resilience to external changes, as well as improving actions in regular management.
The goals and objectives of operational management are to support and control functions 2, 3, and 4 of the production system. Line management needs to create and maintain a production culture in which all of the above is accomplished. The purpose of our work is to help you with this.
What are we doing?
1. Create the framework of the control system
We can help you standardize your operating procedures and work environment to ensure reproducible, high-quality output The goal of standardization is to reduce defects, eliminate time and resource waste, and ensure technology compliance.
2. Develop daily management procedures
We will form a set of regular actions that will allow us to monitor the achievement of top management’s goals, promptly set tasks and solve emerging problems in production, and ensure the management of the value stream.
3. We teach methods for improving the value stream
We will train line management in continuous improvement methods and tools. They will be able to pass on this knowledge to their subordinates so that each employee at their workplace can not only make their daily work easier, faster, better and cheaper, but also participate in production management.
What is the result?
With our help, you will get a solid foundation and all the knowledge you need to create and manage your own unique production system. This does not mean that you will get it within the time we work together. This means that you will take the first, most difficult steps, know and be able to do enough to move on independently and effectively manage production.
You can also take advantage of our lean manufacturing program program and receive our methodological support during the transformation period.
